My WHY? 

​

I started Digitised Legacies  because I’m reaching back to that younger version of myself—the one who needed real, practical advice on how to build a profile and turn it into a recognizable brand. I’ve always cared deeply about education, and after teaching at a few art institutions, I realized something was missing. When I was in school, no one taught me the actual steps to build my career after graduation, and even today, many artists finish their studies with no accessible resources for what comes next. I created this platform to fill that gap and to make sure that information and guidance are available for everyone—not just those who had the chance to study formally but also those who are self-taught, driven by passion, and eager to learn.

 

I’ve put together handbooks that don’t just talk about building a brand or a career—they actually show you how to do it. Each handbook is filled with clear, step-by-step guides that walk you through everything from creating a professional profile to establishing a brand that reflects who you are and what you want to achieve. I wanted to move beyond abstract, vague definitions and offer artists something truly practical and tangible. Each section is designed to be as hands-on as possible, breaking down even complex topics into actionable steps. 

 

The goal is to create a sense of guidance and structure at every turn, so people don’t feel lost or unsure about where to go next. I believe that with clear steps and support, artists can approach their careers with more confidence and a solid plan. These handbooks are like having a mentor in your pocket, one who’s there to help with every challenge and milestone. My hope is that by following these guides, artists will feel empowered to bring their creative visions to life while building a sustainable and fulfilling career.

What excites me most is the potential of social media. I used to have a negative view of it, thinking it was just a waste of time. But I’ve come to see it as one of the most valuable tools for artists today. It’s a place where you can share your work, talk about your journey, connect with others, and engage with artists from all over the world. Social media has transformed into a platform where time spent can actually add value, build connections, and support growth.
